We are thrilled to announce that Conectys Romania has earned ISO 22301 certification for Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS). This significant achievement reflects our dedication to ensuring that critical outsourced operations for our clients—such as customer support and back-office functions—continue seamlessly, even in challenging circumstances. ISO 22301 demonstrates our capability to manage potential threats proactively and our preparedness to handle disturbances, all while delivering consistently high-quality BPO services.
ISO 22301 signifies that Conectys has developed and implemented robust strategies for managing emergencies and unforeseen events. This includes detailed plans and processes for addressing various types of disruptions—such as natural disasters, cyberattacks, supply chain issues, and operational failures, which are increasingly common in today’s dynamic environment. Working with us ensures enhanced internal resilience and the delivery of services that consistently meet customer requirements while maintaining high standards of reliability and performance, even in the face of adversity. This approach significantly reduces the likelihood of downtime, minimises operational disturbances, and mitigates the risk of financial losses from such incidents.
A significant advantage of ISO 22301 certification is its seamless integration with other ISO management standards, such as ISO 27001 for information security and ISO 9001 for quality management. This alignment additionally enhances our ability to address various aspects of risk and resilience in a coordinated and effective manner.
Business Continuity Management Systems ISO 22301 provides a practical framework for organisations to protect against disruptive events and ensure rapid recovery when incidents occur. The standard encompasses planning, establishing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving a documented BCMS. It benefits providers, businesses, customers, and partners by ensuring reliable service delivery, effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and new opportunities. It applies to companies of all sizes, allowing them to demonstrate adherence to best practices in operational sustainability.
Development of ISO 22301 began in 2006 during an ISO workshop in Florence, where experts from various countries identified the need for a global standard for emergency preparedness. This led to the publication of ISO/PAS 22399:2007 as initial guidance. The first edition of ISO 22301 was launched in May 2012, integrating national standards through a collaborative effort. Initially, there was limited interest in updating ISO 22301, but this changed significantly as the need for revisions became clear. The influx of change requests initiated a major revision process. By 2019, ISO 22301 was established as a comprehensive global standard for business continuity management.
