The nation has already outranked India as the most popular outsourcing location for BPO services, and call centre services in particular. By 2016, it is expected to reach 1.3 million active employees and register over $20 billion in revenue.

From Phys.org we learn that Dan Reyes, chairman of the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines, and Jose Mari Mercado, the association’s president and CEO, are confident that the revision in the U.S. healthcare system will bring an influx of medical contracts to the country. The staggering 385% growth, from 14,000 diagnostic codes to 68,000, will see the number of processing positions in the Philippines increase dramatically.

The future looks bright for both healthcare graduates in the Philippines and outsourcing companies based there.
