In 2022, the Philippine BPO made a total revenue of 32.5 billion U.S. dollars, showing a 10.3% increase compared to the previous year.
The outsourcing sector’s workforce hit 1.57 million in 2022, marking an 8.4% growth. This translated to adding 121,000 full-time employees in 2022.
IBPAP predicts generating around 59 billion U.S. dollars in annual revenues from outsourcing and 2.5 million jobs in this segment by 2028.

Furthermore, the completion rate for a bachelor’s or equivalent degree is around 24.4%, as the Philippine Business for Education estimates.

However, under the Philippine Labour Code, the night shift must be paid an extra 10% of the basic hourly rate.

For instance, a typical annual salary in the Philippines is $7,000 U.S. dollars. In contrast, it is $52,000 U.S. dollars in the United States, $46,000 U.S. dollars in the United Kingdom, and $52,000 U.S. dollars in Australia, as stated in the Average Salary Survey.

It began in 1992 when the country’s first contact centre arose. Subsequently, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) was founded in 1995 to facilitate foreign business operations.
