The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, nongovernmental organization that oversees the drafting of ISO 9001 and many other international standards. ISO, through its 164 member organizations, brings together experts “to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.”

Conectys has extended this top quality standard across multiple locations for over a decade. This decade of high standards and equally high achievements for Conectys is fueled by the way in which it serves customers (and maintains its own quality) through the company’s own cloud-based, premium contact center platform ConectysOS.

By providing customers with a SaaS product that has a consolidated Quality Model built into the system, complete with notifications, disputes, goal setting and corrective actions in one place, Conectys keeps quality top of mind and attainable. The company offers this platform to its customers, free of charge, delivering real-time insights into customer satisfaction, eliminating rework through automation and overall upping the ante for quality for both parties.

We are now pleased to announce that we’ve received a final audit report concerning ISO 9001:2015 certification at our Lisbon delivery center, and we are certified!

A quality management system (QMS) is defined as a formalized system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives. A QMS helps coordinate and direct an organization’s activities to meet customer and regulatory requirements and improve its effectiveness and efficiency on a continuous basis.

ISO 9001:2015, the international standard specifying requirements for quality management systems, is the most prominent approach to quality management systems. While some use the term “QMS” to describe the ISO 9001 standard or the group of documents detailing the QMS, it actually refers to the entirety of the system. The documents only serve to describe the system.

BENEFITS OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND WHY THIS MATTERS TO OUR BUSINESS

Implementing a quality management system affects every aspect of an organization’s performance. Benefits of a documented quality management system include:

  • Meeting the customer’s requirements, which helps to instill confidence in the organization, in turn leading to more customers, more sales, and more repeat business
  • Meeting the organization’s requirements, which ensures compliance with regulations and provision of products and services in the most cost- and resource-efficient manner, creating room for expansion, growth, and profit
  • These benefits offer additional advantages, including:
  • Defining, improving, and controlling processes
  • Reducing waste
  • Preventing mistakes
  • Lowering costs
  • Facilitating and identifying training opportunities
  • Engaging staff
  • Setting organization-wide direction
  • Communicating a readiness to produce consistent results[IB1] [IB2]

Customers can enjoy the rewards of working with such a quality-centric organization like cost-efficiency (and lower costs/shorter cycle times), credibility, competitiveness, increased customer satisfaction and loyalty, increased revenue and market share, improved communication, planning and administration processes – and more. This certification means that Conectys and its customers will continue to be streamlined, optimized and on a secure path of growth.

Internally, we offer much praise and respect to our Lisbon team and our Project Management Innovation Office (PIMO), who have done amazing work on this certification process
